Ahavat Yisrael - Who We Are

Like a beautiful kaleidoscope, the members of Ahavat Yisrael are a blend of different people from various walks of life, all unifying together to create a multi-faceted, warm and welcoming neighborhood shul.

Rabbi Asher Bush,our caring and dynamic spiritual leader, has Yadin Yadin S'micha and a Masters in Jewish Education. He effortlessly divides his time between being an educator at the Frisch High School, Director of the Vaad Harabanim of Riverdale, as well as availing himself to his Kehilla and the entire community at large.

With children of all ages, Ahavat Yisrael offers programming throughout the year to elevate and celebrate each of the chagim; our past events included Sukkah kids parties, falafel dinners for Yom Ha'atzmaut, and Chanuka magic shows replete with latkes, gelt, and sufganiyot to name a few.   For the adults we have our annual barbeque, wine and cheese events, musical cafe nights, brunch and learn,                                                                                            and goods and services auctions.

Most of all we offer a friendly atmosphere where all are welcome !
